School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is comprised of men and women from the community who provide advice to the pastor and principal on the governance of the parish school. The Council deals with major issues in the areas of strategic planning, development, marketing, facilities and finances.

Collectively, the pastor, principal, diocesan officials and members of the SAC assist in the governance structure of the school. Members may not be employees of the school or parish but should possess an interest or knowledge in the areas that contribute to the Council’s work (i.e technology, marketing, strategic planning).

The work of the Council is primarily accomplished in Committee. All are welcome to participate on the committees. There are no restrictions. Committees include:

• Finance
• Buildings and Grounds
• Advancement (long range planning, long term sustainable funding)
• Marketing/ Enrollment
• Resource (includes membership, professional spiritual development and Governance)
